BIOSKETCH
Senior Pathologist and Lecturer in the Department of Medical Microbiology at the National Health Laboratory Service (NHLS) and the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), Durban. Involved in diagnostic microbiology services at Victoria Mxenge Hospital and is actively involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. Research and clinical interests focus on antimicrobial resistance (AMR), antimicrobial stewardship, and neonatal sepsis, with a strong emphasis on translating laboratory data into practical strategies for improving patient care. NHLS ECHO Champion, supporting the coordination and delivery of national microbiology training sessions via the ECHO platform.
