BIOSKETCH
Pathologist in the department of microbiology, National Health Laboratory Service and University of KwaZulu-Natal, based at Victoria Mxenge Hospital since 2010.  Primarily involved in the diagnostic microbiology laboratory providing a consultative service, identification and susceptibility testing bench, laboratory management, quality assurance, microbiology outreach support, teaching and training as well as being involved in research.  Involved in ICU ward rounds and management of infections in critically ill patients .Research interests include drug resistant bacteria especially carbapenem resistant Enterobacterales. Other interests include causes of meningitis.
