BIOSKETCH
Dr Lisha Sookan completed her MBChB degree at the University of the Witwatersrand in 2003. She subsequently obtained her Fellowship of the College of Pathologists (FC Path) in Medical Microbiology in 2011, followed by an MMed in Medical Microbiology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN).She is currently based at Addington Hospital, where she provides diagnostic microbiology services and also oversees the serology laboratory. Her research interests include syphilis and other sexually transmitted infections, as well as infectious diseases of public health importance.
