OVERVIEW
The Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health is designed to enhance the capacity of Health professionals to critically engage with contemporary public Health thinking, practice, and research methods. This qualification aims to equip practitioners with the skills and expertise necessary to analyse Health and management indicators, optimize Health services, and address challenges within Health systems and programmes at district, provincial, and national levels. Graduates are prepared to plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate public Health interventions that improve the Health status of communities across South Africa and sub-Saharan Africa, with a strong emphasis on evidence-based decision-making and operational research in the public Health domain. This is a part time programme offered over 2 years ( 4 semesters)
